Our History
Founded in 1804, Oldrids & Downtown have a proud heritage spanning over two hundred years. Starting out as a Draper’s store in Boston the company has continued to grow and innovate over time.
Oldrids & Downtown were one of the first businesses in the UK to develop edge of town retailing in the 1970’s.
Our Leadership
In April 2017, the business welcomed a new Managing Director Richard Broadhead. He joins the business with a wealth of retail expertise and experience.
Richard held overall responsibility for the mobilization, launch and management of the Springfields Outlet in Spalding and as such has a clear and proven track record of delivering hugely successful outlet schemes.
His previous roles have enabled Richard to build a strong network with most of the major premium brands that you would expect to find trading from a Designer Outlet Village.
Experience gained working with a number of the principal developers at executive level including one of the leading developers and operators of outlet centres in Europe, ensures that he is well placed to lead and deliver the proposed scheme.
